About Miriam

Miriam Prichard, LMHC,  earned an M.S. Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University. She has experience working with clients who depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, grief, stress, self-harming behavior and family conflict.

Miriam looks at clients individually and holistically. She recognizes each person has a unique story that shapes the way they see themselves, others,  and the world. She  helps clients make changes they feel are important to living a more satisfying life. She does this through talk therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and sand tray therapy.

Miriam is also a  Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapist. She completed an eight month training through Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Boulder, Colorado, where she learned to do therapy using ketamine, psilocybin, and MDMA for clients with treatment-resistant mental illness.

Miriam has taught at both St. Ambrose University and Scott Community College. She is also guest lecturer annually at New York University for their graduate level abnormal psychology course.
